A reconstructed riverside workshop, combined with interactive displays, presents each stage of the process — from washing the hides to their transformation into supple, durable leather.

This first section of the exhibition unveils the secrets behind turning raw hides into leather, a noble and timeless material.

The History of Gloves and the Glove-Making City revealed?

Through historic machinery, multimedia installations and exceptional collections, the Cité du cuir immerses visitors in the story of glove-making. Occasional live demonstrations bring this traditional craft to life, showcasing skills that continue to inspire contemporary designers and fashion houses.
