General conditions of sale ticketing and shop for individual sales on site

The Cité du Cuir, located 20 chemin Notre Dame au goth, 87200 Saint-Junien, is a structure of permanent valorisation around the know-how of leather (gantry, megisserie). The Cité du Cuir offers a permanent exhibition and services accessible by buying an entrance ticket. The Cité du Cuir has a freely accessible product sales shop.
Article I - Purpose
The purpose of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) is to supervise the on-site sale of services and products offered by the Cité du Cuir. The GTCs are available upon request from an officer of the Cité du Cuir or on the website https://www.citeducuir.fr.
The services include a free visit to the permanent exhibition, guided tours of the permanent exhibition, educational and creative workshops, rental of space and technical equipment, services, entertainment and the visit to the temporary exhibition.
All products for sale on the spot in the shop of the Cité du Cuir.
A ticket generated by the ticketing solution of the Cité du Cuir with a QR code. It can be purchased in cash or online, in a materialized or dematerialized version. For online sales, please refer to the General Terms and Conditions of Online Sales available on request from an online sales agent. Cité du Cuir or on the website https://www.citeducuir.fr.
By buying a service or product on site at the Cité du Cuir, the customer fully accepts these GTCs.
These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time. Their application will then come into effect as soon as they are validated and posted online.
Article II - Offer and rates
Rates for benefits are displayed at the entrance to the establishment and are also available on the website of the Cité du Cuir. All taxes included are shown in euro.
In order to benefit from one of the proposed discounted rates, it is imperative to present a valid supporting document at the time of purchase and on the day of the visit.
The Cité du Cuir reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice. The applicable prices are those in force at the time of purchase or reservation. It is strongly recommended that the individual client book an upstream service including guided tours and creative workshops. This reservation can be made via the website or on site.
If the performance of the reserved service is made impossible by reason of an external event (force majeure, closure of the establishment for technical or sanitary reasons...), the Cité du Cuir reserves the right to cancel a reservation. She warns the customer as soon as possible. If the benefit cannot be deferred to a later date and a settlement has already been made by the client, a refund will be made by the institution, or exchanged by a service whose rate is similar to that which has been cancelled.
If the cancellation is due to the customer, the Cité du Cuir make a refund of the amount paid, provided that the information is transmitted to it at least 24 hours before the performance of the benefit. After this period, no reimbursement will be made.
The programme of guided tours for individuals is available on the website of the Cité du Cuir or upon request at reception. Reservation is strongly recommended; the number of places per guide is limited to 20 persons.
Certain tariffs for open or guided tours of the permanent exhibition space are laid down in particular:
- The reduced rate applies to children over 6 years of age under 18, high school students, students, persons with disabilities, beneficiaries of social minimums, job seekers and anyone who has booked a creative activity simultaneously (on presentation of proof),
- Free of charge applies to children under 6 years of age (in the context of a family visit), accompanying persons with disabilities, accompanying groups, staff of another museum, other cultural structure, guests of the duo pass (on presentation of proof)
- The family package applies to a maximum group of 5 people with two adults. Over 5 people, the price will be increased by 3 € per additional child.
- The annual adult pass is a nominative pass that entitles unlimited access to permanent space for one year from the date of purchase.
- The annual discount pass is a nominative pass that entitles unlimited access to permanent space for one year from the date of purchase. It is reserved for persons who can justify a reduced rate under the same conditions as the reduced rate unit entrance.
- The duo pass is a nominative pass for the person who buys it. This person has the possibility for one year, from the date of purchase, to visit the permanent space accompanied by the person of his choice, which may be different at each visit.
- The free annual pass is reserved for donors, leather professionals investing in demonstrations within the Cité du Cuir and to privileged partners of the Communauté de Communes Porte Océane du Limousin.
- For all annual passes, the period of validity includes the usual annual closure period. In the event of an exceptional additional closure, the date of validity of the pass shall be extended by the closing period if the latter exceeds two weeks. The customer who has subscribed to this type of pass may, on presentation of a valid proof, benefit from the extension or cancellation (reimbursement) of the latter in case of serious illness, serious accident, death, or professional reason involving disability. The extension will consist of the duration of the incapacity and the reimbursement pro rata for the remaining period.
- The prices of guided tours for individuals correspond to the prices of free tours (full, reduced or free, depending on the customer's situation), plus:
- 2 € for 45 minute guided tours,
- 3 € for 60-minute guided tours,
- 4 € for 75 minute guided tours,
- 5 € for 90 minute guided tours
- 6 € for 120 minute guided tours
Article III – Conditions for use of the entry ticket
The purchase of an entry ticket is considered final and non-refundable once the payment is made.
The entry ticket is valid for only one day, on the date indicated on the entry ticket. Any exit is considered final.
Access to permanent exposure and any services is conditional upon the presentation of an entry ticket or a QR code to the control system.
The customer must present himself with a valid ticket. The Cité du Cuir reserves the right to refuse entry in case of non-compliance with the conditions mentioned on the entry ticket.
Article IV – Conditions for the exchange of the products of the shop
The Cité du Cuir does not authorize any exchange of items and makes no refund. All purchases are firm and final.
Article V – Payment methods
With regard to the purchase of services, the methods of payment accepted are: Numerary, Credit Cards (excluding American Express), Bank Cheques, Holiday vouchers, Culture Cheques, Culture Pass and deferred settlement.
With regard to purchases of products from the shop, the accepted methods of payment are: Numerary, Bank Cards (excluding American Express) and Bank Cheques.
Article VI - Protection of personal data
The information collected in connection with purchases is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Article VII – Consumer disputes and mediators

Article II - Definition of a group
Group reservations are compulsory for legal persons (schools, associations, companies, communities, etc.).
The application of the group tariff applies from 10 persons, regardless of the type of group (except special events).
For comfort and safety issues, maximum gauges are defined:
- a maximum of 25 persons for guided tours
- a maximum of 15 people for initiation workshops.
Article III - Offer and rates
The Cité du cuir offers the reservation of independent or guided tour of the permanent exhibition for groups from 10 people. It also offers services.
The rates for all these services are displayed at the entrance to the establishment and are also available on the website. https://www.citeducuir.fr. All taxes included are shown in euro. They may also be communicated when contacting the services of the Cité du cuir for reservation.
Complimentary training will be available to those who are essential to a group.
III.1 – Rates for out-of-school groups and collective receptions of minors:
Certain tariffs have special provisions:
- Rates for groups (except for remote cultural audiences and children under 18 years of age) vary according to seasonality:
- The low season (SB) extends from 1and November to 30 April, excluding weekends and holidays included in this period
- High season (SH) extends from 1and May to October 31 and also includes every weekend and holidays of the year.
- Groups « far from culture » are made up of publics, who for various reasons (social, medical, geographical...) do not have access to cultural offers.
- The rates of free visits for groups outside school and collective receptions of minors (ACM), are per person and have four variations:
- Adult price in high season
- Adult price in low season
- Group rate for remote audiences and children over 6 and under 18
- Free for children under 6
- Prices for guided tours for out-of-school groups and ACMs are per person and have four variations:
- Adult price in high season
- Adult price in low season
- Group rate for remote audiences and children over 6 and under 18
- Group rate for children under 6 years of age
- Guided tour rates also vary depending on the length of the visit.
- Children have the opportunity to celebrate their birthday at the Cité du cuir. The rates offered vary according to the age of the children (more or less than 6 years). The rate will depend on the age of the child celebrating his or her birthday. The rates offered are packages with a maximum of 10 children, with the possibility of adding two extra children for 10 children. € children. Accompanyers are included in the package.
III.2 – Rates for schools and collective receptions of minors:
The rates applicable to schools and CMAs are those of the « Educational offer » the tariff schedule. The reception of groups of children is carried out from 3 years old. Prices for free tours, guided tours and initiation workshops are per child. Group attendants/supervisors provided free services.
Certain tariffs have special provisions:
- Open visits are open only to groups that have previously benefited from an out-of-wall service by an officer of the Cité du cuir. Free visits may be granted in case of a special project with a class, school or ACM.
- The prices of free tours, guided tours, services outside the walls vary according to the location of the school or the ACM (on the territory of the community of communes Porte Océane du Limousin or outside).
- Prices for guided tours and out-of-wall interventions also vary depending on the length of service.
- Out-of-wall interventions consist of the performance of an animation in a school or an ACM by an officer of the Cité du cuir. This is one package per class. The rates will be increased by travel expenses as per the Order-in-Council in effect at the time the estimate is signed.
- Induction workshop rates vary according to activity and duration.
A 10% reduction will be granted to any school and ACM booking a guided tour and an initiation workshop.
Article IV – Conditions, Amendment and Cancellation
In an approach of quality of service and in order to organise the activities at best, it is imperative to make a reservation with the agents of the Cité du cuir by calling 05 55 02 76 68 or by e-mail at contact@citeducuir.fr, or by postal mail to Cité du cuir, Communauté de communes Porte Océane du Limousin, 1 Avenue Voltaire, 87 200 Saint-Junien.
A reservation contract is established by the Cité du cuirindicating the elements relating to the services desired by the customer and validated by the Cité du cuir. This is only once the contract has been signed by the customer and received by the services of the Cité du cuir the reservation will be effective. Prior to this, such reservation is considered an option and does not guarantee the maintenance of the date, the maintenance of the schedule or even the nature of the service originally desired.
The guided tours of the permanent exhibition as well as the animation of creative workshops with a pedagogic vocation are provided by the mediators of the Cité du cuir or by any provider designated by the Cité du cuir.
The presence of a group leader is mandatory throughout the duration of the visit. Each member of a group is under the responsibility of the leader of the group or the leader. At no time are the members of the group under the responsibility of the agents of the Cité du cuir.
Any request for change of date or schedule will be taken into account within the limits of availability and will have to be made as soon as possible.
Groups must attend the museum's reception at least 15 minutes before the scheduled visit or performance schedule, in order to validate the administrative aspect and start the activities provided for in the booking contract on time.
In case of a delay of less than 20 minutes, the museum reserves the right to adapt or reduce the duration of the visit or the service without reducing the price.
In case of delay exceeding 20 minutes, the Cité du cuir reserves the right to cancel benefits, even if the group took care to warn because the agents will be scheduled on another visit.
If the number of participants is less than 15 on the day of the benefit, the group rate will be maintained for 15 persons in all cases. In the event of a refusal on the part of the customer, the corresponding individual rate will be applied and the benefits may be modified. The number of participants may not exceed 30. In which case, the Cité du cuir reserves the right to propose a modification of the benefit.
Compliance with the safety rules set out in the rules of procedure and the instructions given by the officials of the Cité du cuir is mandatory.

The Cité du cuir may not be held liable for damage caused by a breach by the group of safety rules or instructions by the agents of the Cité du cuir.
Any damage or damage caused by a member of the group shall be charged to the head of the group or to the legal person he represents.
